Sack customers
There are a small number of properties that are unsuitable for our wheelie bins and those residents can apply to use sacks instead. The following information is for people who use our sack collection service.
How does it work?
If we have agreed your property is unsuitable for wheelie bins, we will provide you with a year’s supply of sacks every October along with a year’s calendar. The sacks we provide are made from up to 97 per cent recycled plastic.
You can put out four clear recycling sacks fortnightly on your scheduled recycling weeks, and three pink rubbish sacks fortnightly on your scheduled rubbish week.
Extra recycling
If you have extra recycling or you have run out of the clear sacks we’ve provided with our council logo on, you can put it out in plain clear bin bags or sacks.
We don’t collect extra non-recycling waste. You can only put three rubbish sacks per collection every fortnight.
If you are currently using sacks but would like to have a wheelie bin instead, please let us know using the details in the contacts section below and we’ll arrange for wheelie bins to be delivered to you.
When do your sacks get collected?
